I also read on one of the forums can't remember if it was here or on EA that it's possible the new update is blocking Origin somehow? If so, how can I get it to.not? Truly would love to be playing Sims 4. With my old laptop, that I only retired two days ago, I had no problem running Origin on Windows 10 and playing Sims 4 easily. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and 圆4 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall. I got a new, refurbished laptop yesterday afternoon and intended on quickly downloading Origin to play Sims. So, I've spent the past day and a lot of last night scouring the internet for a solution to this problem.
